Singu Chuli (Fluted Peak) - 6501m

Destination: Annapurna Region
Duration : 21 days
Best Season : Mar-May; Oct-Nov

Grade : Hard
Max. Altitude : 6501

Singu Peak, is located in the Annapurna Sanctuary and is one of the highest trekking peaks in Nepal. It is also commonly known as Flute Peak and is attached to Tharpu Peak while the south west of the mountain connects with Tent Peak. It is the first peak on the long edge descending downward from the Glacier Dome, dividing the west and south Annapurna glaciers. Accessing this peak involves trekking up the Modi Khola ravine towards the Annapurna sanctuary and then climbing through the glaciers towards the north crest where the high camp will be set up at 4900 m. From there you can ascend towards the summit, with some technical challenges at the vertical hedge just below it. The trek itself is fascinating, offering incredible views of Lamjung range, Annapurna range, Macchapuchre (Fishtail) as well as terraced fields and villages.
