Private Day Tour route
We will begin our walk from your hotel in Thamel to Jyatha Street. It is old street with few tourist business activities. We can see old houses, some small Buddhist Bihar, and local markets on the way until Ason Chowk. It is the oldest centre point of Kathmandu. Streets are filled with local shops selling vegetables and other household items. In the centre there is the Temple of Annapurna, which is known as goddess of fulfillment. In the evenings and mornings t his area is very busy. We continue walking ahead through narrow old streets to Mahabouddha where wholesale garments are sold, and then head towards New Road, a very popular modern market. After that, we will walk to Indrachowk, where we can see Aakash Bhairav Temple, and then on to Naradevi Temple, a very old and famous goddess temple for locals. Walking ahead through more narrow old streets we will arrive at Thaiti, another small chowk (intersection) for local shopping and then Chhetrapati, west entrance of Thamel and continue walking until we arrive at Shorakhuttee.
