Pisang Peak - 6091m

Destination: Annapurna Region
Duration : 19 days
Best Season : Mar-May; Oct-Nov

Grade : Hard
Max. Altitude : 6091m

Pisang Peak is a popular trekking peak in the Annapurna Region and for those with some experience in climbing, can be combined with the Annapurna Circuit trek. This climb offers a considerable challenge in comparison to some other popular peaks as the western end of the ridge is guarded by huge rock slabs making it difficult to climb, and the western flank of the summit is preceded by a hanging glacier. The peak rises above Pisang Village, overlooking yak pastures in a uniform slope of ice and snow. The view from the peak offers excellent views  of Annapurna II, Ghangapurna, Tilcho Peak and the Glacier Dome. After summiting, the trail descends to Manang and up to the Thorong Pass towards Jomsom before flying back to Pokhara.
