Pachermo Peak / Tashi Lapcha - 6273m

Destination: Rolwaling
Duration : 18 days
Best Season : Mar-May; Oct-Nov

Grade : Hard
Max. Altitude : 6273

Pachermo Peak is another popular trekking peak located in the Rolwaling region, ahead of the Thame Valley in the Everest region. It is a relatively uncomplicated peak first climbed in 1955 with a well defined north/north-west ridge arising from a relatively flat glacier, the main access point being the Rolwaling Valley. The route close to the summit does expose some deep crevasses and accessing the peak requires crossing the challenging high snow covered Tashi Lepcha Pass. The trek itself travels through some stunning, and remote parts of the Khumbu region, the Rolwaling Valley seeing far less trekkers than most other areas of Khumbu, even in peak season. There is an alternative route to Pachermo Peak from Namche Bazaar and requires a shorter trek, however approaching via the Rolwaling Valley allows for better acclimatisation. The view from the summit offers fantastic views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, and Makalu.
