The main attraction of this trek is the opportunity to see the world’s tallest mountain, Mt. Everest. This trek is especially designed for those who may not have enough time to trek to higher elevations but wish to see Mt. Everest with their own eyes. You will have the chance to experience the best of the Khumbu region as well as the famous Sherpa hospitality. The trek follows approximately half the route of the Everest Base Camp Trek and culminates at Tyangboche, the largest, oldest and most important monastery in the region. From Tyangboche (3860 m) you will experience unparalleled views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Amadablam, Kang Tenga, Khumbiyila, as well as other peaks. If you choose to take this trek during the Rimdu Festival, you will gain an extra taste of Sherpa culture.

Outline Itinerary:

Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu airport and transfer to hotel in Kathmandu (1300m/4255ft)

Day 2 : Sightseeing and preparation day

Day 3 : Fly (30 min) to Lukla (2840m/9317ft) and trek to Phaking (2610m/8562ft) or Monjo

Day 4 : Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440m/11286ft)

Day 5 : Acclimatisation day/hike to Khumjung (3780m/12400ft)

Day 6 : Trek to Tyangboche (3860m/12665ft)

Day 7 : Trek to Monjo (2840m/9317ft)

Day 8 : Trek to Lukla (2840m/9317ft)

Day 9 : Fly to Kathmandu

Day 10 : Departure
