Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) is another classic Annapurna region trek, taking you to the base of the massive Annapurna I, one of the first 8000 m peaks ever climbed in the world. The trek offers magnificent views of the Annapurna range and Mt. Fishtail (Machhapuchre), and the base camp itself at 4131 m is breathtaking, as it is surrounded by many peaks in all directions. You will also experience a mix of Gurung and Magar culture, the Gurungs being well known for their high profile in the British Army’s Ghurka Service. Of course this region is also famous for it’s beautiful and varied flora and fauna, and at the end of the trek you will have the opportunity to enjoy the natural hot springs at Jinu.
